Multi-agency operations lead to seizure of illegal tobacco and vapes

Thousands of illegal vapes, cigarettes and hand rolling tobacco has been seized across East Cambridgeshire as part of a multi-agency operation.
 

Neighbourhood policing officers joined Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards and HMRC in a multi-agency crack down on the sale of illegal tobacco and vapes the illicit goods on Tuesday (24 June).

Inspections took place in Ely, Soham, and Littleport, where they seized:

Issues included vapes with incorrect labelling and tank sizes that are illegal in the UK due to the quantities of liquid they contain and cigarettes and tobacco without the correct warnings, hidden behind the shop counter.
